Jenn Schindel, PhD

I am an impact strategist, network-builder, and social researcher with 20+ years of cross-sector experience at the intersection of behavioral research, narrative strategy, and capital ecosystem development.

My work is grounded in a core conviction: you move capital by moving people. You move people by creating the networked infrastructure that allows resources to flow freely. Understanding the behavioral, psychological, narrative, and structural conditions that enable (or prevent) values-aligned capital deployment is critical to building and activating the networks, capital relationships, and narrative infrastructure that truly liberates resources to move in alignment with values.

I bring a PhD in Linguistic Anthropology in Education from Stanford University, a BA in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley, and two decades of strategy, social research, narrative communications, and organizational advisory across mission-driven organizations, academic and philanthropic institutions to my strategic advisory work. I have deep roots in Oakland's solidarity economy and community investment ecosystem as an investor owner and community owner at East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, an alumna of LIFT Economy's Next Economy MBA, a donor organizer, and an engaged community member in the ecosystem I research and advise on.
